San Francisco Bay Area Advanced Practice CenterThe San Francisco Bay Area Advanced Practice Center (APC) serves as a resource for the public health community nationwide by developing and sharing tools and materials that will advance public health preparedness. Funded by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the San Francisco Bay Area APC represents a partnership between the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the UC Berkeley Center for Infectious Diseases & Emergency Readiness.
Infectious Disease Emergency Response (IDER) ToolkitPreparedness resources often describe “what” to do but not “how” to do it. The IDER Toolkit will provide guidance on how to develop and operationalize one NIMS-compliant plan that can serve as an annex to any local all-hazards disaster response plan. Specifically, the Toolkit will contain:
Seasonal and Pandemic Influenza Vaccine Assessment (SPIVA) ToolkitBecause of the emergence and threat of novel H1N1 influenza, local health jurisdictions will need more detailed, practice-based guidance on how to implement federal and state pandemic influenza vaccination guidelines. The SPIVA Toolkit will provide operational tools and forms necessary to effectively implement federal and state influenza guidelines. The following modules will be included: Community Assessment as a Tool for Emergency Preparedness, Management & Implementation, and Using Online & Electronic Tools.
