Positive Reception Contributes to Future Training Plans

Advanced Practice Center (APC) Toolkits on the Road!

The Infectious Disease Emergency Response (IDER) Toolkit provides guidance to local health departments on how to develop and operationalize a NIMS-compliant response plan for infectious disease emergencies. The Seasonal and Pandemic Influenza Vaccine Implementation (SPIVA) Toolkit provides local health departments with tools to implement state and federal influenza vaccination guidelines. By using these toolkits, local health department staff can supplement their current efforts to prepare and respond to influenza and other infectious diseases.

The San Francisco Bay Area Advanced Practice Center (APC) launched its training on the IDER and SPIVA Toolkits at a post-CIDER Summit Workshop in Santa Ana, CA in late June.  In this introductory workshop participants from throughout California, and a couple from Nevada and Alaska, appreciated what they heard and saw about the toolkits and commented on wanting more time spent on each!  We are pleased to have gotten such a favorable reception. Thank you for attending our workshop at the CIDER Summit and providing input for us to continue our training plans.
